Improvements in this version include:
- New TraceMonkey JavaScript engine, claiming to be two times faster than Firefox 3 and ten times faster than Firefox 2
- The ability to play audio and video within the browser without plugins using the HTML5 audio and video elements.
- New privacy controls including Private Browsing, Forget this Site, and Clear Recent History.
- Location Aware Browsing - an optional setting to give websites information about your location.
- Support for new web technologies such as: downloadable fonts, CSS media queries, new transformations and properties, JavaScript query selectors, HTML5 local storage and offline application storage, canvas text, ICC profiles, and SVG transforms
