Top 10 Software Testing and QA Groups On LinkedIn

LinkedIn is a great networking resource, especially if you join Groups. And there are a lot of software testing and QA groups on LinkedIn. I've found these groups helpful when I've been looking for contacts in other companies, as well as the articles and comments published by the members. Here are the 3 software testing and QA groups I subscribe to:
Based on membership, the Top 10 software testing and QA groups on LinkedIn are:
  1. Senior Testing Professionals (1602 members): This group is for senior testing professionals, test managers and above. Objective is to discuss various ideas / practical problems in test management.
  2. ValidationExperts (1867 members): This group is to connect all Independent Validation & Verification Experts.
  3. Global Testing Professional (1966 members): This is a group for Testing Professionals and its purpose is to expand our network of people and share Testing concepts & Ideas on a Globally.
  4. SQAforums (2365 members): Moderators & Members of SQAforums.com, the largest professional group of software testing and quality assurance QA professionals. Largest Test Automation and Performance Testing community on the internet.
  5. Software Testing and Quality Assurance (2557 members): Certified Software Quality Assurance Analysts (CSQA), Certified Software Test Engineers (CSTE) and anybody interested in Software quality and testing in general are more than welcome.
  6. Software Testing Club (3748 members): the online software testing community.
  7. QA & Testing Group (4000 members): The goal of this group is to help members: Reach other members of QA & Testing; Accelerate careers/business through referrals from QA & Testing Group members; Know more than a name – view rich professional profiles from fellow QA & Testing Group members.
  8. Software Testing - ISTQB/ISEB (5302 members): Putting people in touch with other software testing professionals, to meet, discuss and share ideas within the software and system testing marketplace.
  9. QAGuild Network (5580 members): QAGuild.com is a platform to bring the global QA and Testing knowledge together in a central place.
  10. Software Testing & Quality Assurance (20380 members): This is a group for Software Testing / QA Professionals to expand their network of people and ideas.

btw.. thanks for noting our user group in your listing..

but i did want to point out that membership numbers aren't the only thing someone should consider when joining a group. While membership numbers are important, one should understand that the quality of the membership and the membership activity are the two biggest keys to making your group work. For example, the Selenium User Group limits recruiter and service providers to no more that 14 percent of the group. that means AT LEAST 86 percent of our base are dedicated subject matter experts. Most posts within our group get at least 3 responses and some coversations seem to go on forever until solutions are fully vetted. We also don't allow spam postings and we look extensively at all members before we accept them. I guess my point is. Quality over quantity tells the true tale of the value of the group. Active membership is a big deal. for example our group is discussing right now the concept of mass authoring a "Selenium User Group" book. Of course concepts like this could never happen without the support of linkedin.
